EFK Professional
The main event was the icing on the cake on what can only be described by other sanctioning bodies representatives as A VERY PROFESSIONAL RUN SHOW and The Best show I have ever been to. The main event was for the vacant EFK European Full Contact Title contested over 10 rounds between Shawn Boom Boom Burton No1 in Britain versus Edward Krauklis from Latvia. Many other camps feared the worst for Shawn prior to this one as the Latvian came into the ring with a 30 fight unbeaten record with 25 KO's. Shawn never frightened to step up to the challenge and sometimes give weight away... he was in it to win it. He had prepared well under the watchful eye of Big Dave Walker his trainer.

Edward stepped into the ring looking extremely confident and relaxed. Shawn looked a little nervous and was right to given the record of his opponent. Edward lived up to his record with an unbelievable start which had the crowd concerned that this fight might not go the distance. Edward brought punches and kicks from all angles and looked very elusive and difficult for Shawn to hit in the early rounds. Shawn dug deep and showed exceptional resistance and calm in his approach to pin the Latvian down. When Shawn did have success the Latvian shrugged his shoulders as if to say is that all you got. Shawn un fazed and relentless in his attacks persevered and eventually started to wear the Latvian down. Referee John Black ledged warned Edward for not throwing enough kicks. His repsonse was a beautifully executed spinning heel kick to Shawn's head. Shawn unfazed continued his attacks and looked like some of his punches and kicks were tiring Edward. This fight had everything from skill, determination, strenght and excitement as both fighters showed their International credentials. Shawn definitely was kicking more frequently than his flamboyant opponent. This was to tell as the fight approached the last round when Edward stepped up the anti again looking for a stoppage. This was not to be be as Shawn had probably given his best performance todate to compete all the way in 10th and final round. At the end of the final round Edward lifted Shawn up in the air as if to suggest he had done enough to win.

The crowd waited patiently for the decision and to find out who was going to be crowned The New EFK Light Welter Weight Champion of Europe... It was a unamous decision and it went in favour Shawn Boom Boom Burton. There were no disputes from the Cobra Gym as their fighter had just been involved in a classic and a European Title fight anyone would of been proud to have been part of.
